The Splitter is the first tier one of Splitter. It splits all oncoming items in a ratio of 1:1 onto both of the belts. The Splitter can be used to even out belt items onto both sides by placing a Splitter onto a belt track with items only coming down the one side and then placing a belt to aim half of the items onto the empty side of the belt. This technique can also be used in order to even out two lots of belts, side by side with the same item by placing a Splitter and then continuing the same two belts along. This takes all the items coming in and puts it evenly onto both belts.
The Splitter is crafted using 5 Electronic circuits, 5 Iron plates, 4 Belts and 1 second.
The separate tiers of Splitter can be distinguished in un-modded games as Yellow (Tier 1), Red (Tier 2) and Blue (Tier 3).
